Immediately after the cessation of the Second World War people began to think that the world’s main principles are understandable and consistent . Both world politics and social relations were counting on the principles of advancement , beneficial change , belief in the rational , enlightenment , hi-tech innovations , and the potential to ground any activity from a logical point of view . However , starting from the second half of the 60’s, the world commenced to degrade and currently , 40 years thereafter , we live in a different kind of existence .
We effortlessly notice all changes which are given us by new technology, but we almost never realize the fact that there are specific concepts which the author has put behind those technological solutions. The core of the upcoming adjustment was first spotted by those people, who as a rule lived ahead of their time – philosophers and authors. Among the multiple authors whose poems have served for amusement , there have been a few who have given the planet a new vision . They have better than others other authors created and formulated authentic ideas and have finally done a new intelligent and emotional substantiation of the future. They have seen challenges in the mundane of our lives and have opened a number of problems, which were existing without being noted . They have assisted us to think of the new challenges , and sent us new aspirations .
These were the authors who have formed the thoughts of the entire generation, which has taken the blow of dramatic change; change, which was perceived as disarray at the dawn of the 21 first century. They have made us focus our attention to the most burning questions of the past century; those dilemmas , which the humankind , having lived through the global wars and wild number of deaths, was reluctant to face . Finally they were voicing the main question “What will happen in the future”?
In this work we will mention several of the most popular writers of the last century. They have all significantly impacted literature of their epoch, have revealed tendencies and problems which were typical to their countries and the times they existed in, and have made the audience think about the running system of moral, having them realize that it is far from being perfect. One of the most fascinating angle of their writing is that in often they have evoked the audience attention in books and written matter. In this aspect one of the most interesting success works is that of a famous writer Anne Bronte .
The achievement of Joan Rowling can be called special as she has found herself to be the first author in the world to make $1 billion by publishing fairytales. She is now spending a significant part of her earnings on charity, confronting poverty and diseases. The idea of the book was created while she was on the train from Manchester to London. When the publisher has first decided to publish her book, she has given her 1500 pounds together with a friendly advice — to look for a stable job. He was hesitant of the idea that the young writer would be able to make money of writing. Joann has proved the opposite - having written a series of amazing fairytales, she has motivated the so-called non-reading people get back to reading books.
This paper cannot enumerate and more or less accurately list all writers who have made their gift to the world’s literature. They have been writing and presenting ideas exactly into the minds of the people, and thus were shaping the future. therefore, as we can see, these writers were not writing for entertainment only, but they were also playing a considerable role in shaping the culture and the perception of a society of the 20th century.
